Join us on February 9th and 10th for the Second Annual student-organized International Development Conference at the University of Toronto Scarborough Campus. This year's theme is Inspiring Development: Ideas Unleashed. Our mission is to provide a powerful and inspiring forum for students, academics, and development professionals, to engage in critical and meaningful discussions pertaining to the field of international development. Themes that will be unpacked throughout the course of the weekend include, environmental sustainability, media and conflict, health and development, privatization and neoliberalism, human rights, the hierarchy of citizenship, disparities in education and knowledge, and much more. Delegates will attend panel discussions, workshops, and keynote presentations, that address these pertinent issues in the field of development. There will also be meals served and cultural components including art displays, music, theatre performance and spoken word. The event is open to anyone interested in development issues and is only $35 for the entire weekend.
