If you’re a new student coming to the University of Toronto Scarborough (UTSC) this fall, you’re invited to come on out and take part in Orientation.

Orientation 2010 offers you a chance to learn about all of the programs and services available within the U of T community and to meet other students over four days of lively activities between Tuesday, September 7 and Friday, September 10. You’ll also be able to meet faculty, staff and student leaders who can support you during your career at UTSC.

This year’s theme is Team UTSC: For the Win. Student Lianne Pinto, orientation coordinator, notes that “First-year students walk onto the campus for the first time as individuals, but when they leave after graduation, they belong to so much more – a team. Furthermore, the resources, people, faculty and clubs at UTSC open your eyes to new experiences nad hidden talents that set you up for ‘the win’ in your future. When you set foot on campus at the University of Toronto Scarborough, you are gaining access to so much more than just an education.”

Don’t miss the fun, with unforgettable activities, events, music, food, performances, presentations, prize giveaways and lots of fun.

“Orientation week is a great opportunity to have fun while meeting new friends, seeing the campus, and connecting with the staff and faculty who make up Team UTSC,” Pinto adds. “The phenomenal events being planned by student leaders equip you with the tools you’ll need to win – academically and socially – in first year and beyond.”

The cost of Orientation is $35 for the first 500 students to sign up. After that, the cost goes up to $50, so everyone is encouraged to register early. To register or find out more information, visit or send an email to
