Trick or Trees: Hallowe'en Goes Green Planting Event

Hallowe'en is going GREEN!

Come out in costume or dressed in the Hallowe'en spirit to plant trees down the slope on the H-Wing Patio.  This planting is for the purpose of beautification as well as stabilisation to prevent erosion.  Some of the tree species that may be planted include White Spruce, American Basswood, Staghorn Sumac and Eastern Red Cedar.

This event is part of another year of environmental initiatives at the University of Toronto Scarborough, Sustainability Office in partnership with Evergreen.

The Green the Campus efforts are continuing as part of a partnership between the University of Toronto Scarborough and Evergreen, a non-profit organization that builds the relationship between nature, culture and community in urban spaces.

We encourage members of the student, faculty, and staff to volunteer for the final event of the year, noting that people can get  some fresh air and exercise while beautifying the campus.

Gloves and equipment will be provided, and volunteers can sign up on the campus intranet.
