University of Toronto Scarborough full-time undergraduate students who have been assessed SCSU society fees for the 2007 Fall Session can opt-out of the SCSU health and dental plan from September 4 – 24 by clicking HERE. Valid proof of alternative coverage must be provided to opt-out of the health plan only. No proof of alternative dental coverage is required to opt-out of the SCSU dental plan. Students who opted-out of their SCSU coverage last year will not be required to re-submit proof of coverage unless their personal coverage has changed in the last 12 months. Students who opt-out of their SCSU coverage during the 2007 Fall session will not have to do so again in the 2007-08 policy year. Note: Refund cheques are normally mailed to students in late-November (for the Fall study period) and early-April (for the Winter study period).

Students who retain coverage can also add their spouse and/or dependants during this same period by using the same web application as above. However, you will be responsible for mailing payment to by the end of the Change-of-Coverage period. Co-op students on work placement (who are not also taking any courses) may also self-enrol in the plan during this period by visiting their respective co-op department, picking up an approved enrollment form, and remitting this form to Allan Grant, Marketing & Services Administrator.
