Governance news from UTSC Campus Council

With one more cycle of business to go before UTSC Campus Council winds down the 2013-2014 governance year, there are many items of business to report on.

Prof. Bill Gough has been acclaimed as Chair and Mark Krembil has been acclaimed as Vice-Chair of the council, for the period July 1, 2014 to June 30, 2015.

The second last Campus Council meeting for this governance year was held April 24, during which the council approved UTSC’s updated strategic plan. Planning for the Academic Affairs Committee meeting (April 28) and the Campus Affairs Committee meeting (April 30) has also begun. Year-end reports will be presented at each Committee meeting.

The deadline to submit nominations for this year’s edition of the Principal’s Awards is May 2. If you know of a deserving individual who should be considered for the D.R. Campbell Merit Award, Patrick Phillips Award for Staff Service, Faculty Teaching Award and Teaching Assistants Awards, the Principal’s Awards are a great way to recognize them.

Finally, our beautiful campus will be on display as UTSC gets set to host the Governing Council at its May meeting May 22.
