Inspired by the structure itself, the student-run Our House campaign logo now features a silhouette of the Toronto Pan American Sports Centre (TPASC). The geometric design has clean lines, highlighting its modern architectural design.

The words UTSC and OUR HOUSE sit atop the building’s slanted roof making sure to let everyone know that this is indeed OUR HOUSE.

Scott McRoberts, director of Athletics and Recreation, says UTSC students voted to support an increase to their fees in order to contribute to the construction of the TPASC with the ultimate goal of taking athletics on this campus to the next level.

“Students made a commitment to put UTSC on the athletics map,” said Scott.

Many students agreed to fund the facility knowing full well that they may never swim in the pool, train in the weight room or have an opportunity to climb the rock wall.

"As a student at the University of Toronto Scarborough, I believe that the Pan Am Games will bring a strong sense of community to the school,” said UTSC student Samantha Turchan.

“The Our House campaign sends a positive message to students that this is their space and their school, a community of like-minded individuals all with the one common goal to learn, grow, and enjoy new experiences," added Turchan.

The new logo can be seen on t-shirts, towels, intermural sports uniforms and throughout the R-Wing.
