Exploring Music of the Baltics: Trio Estonia in Concert

Trio Estonia will bring Estonian music to UTSC on September 25, 2013

Arts & Events Programming is pleased to present its first World Rhythms Performance Lecture of the 2013-2014 season, Exploring Music of the Baltics: Trio Estonia in Concert.

The performance lecture will take place on Wednesday, September 25, 2013 from 1pm to 2pm in room AA303 of the Arts & Administration Building. Admission is free and everyone is welcome to attend. However, due to limited seating, you must RSVP online at www.aeplive.eventbrite.ca.

A unique “across the ocean” musical ensemble, Trio Estonia brings together Arvo Leibur, violinist and concertmaster for the Estonian National Symphony Orchestra; cellist Aare Tammesalu; and Norman Reintamm, pianist and director of the Cathedral Bluffs Symphony Orchestra. Through performances of a selection of repertoire written by noted Estonian musicians and composers, they will lead the audience on an exploration of the rich and harmonic musical traditions of Estonia.

The World Rhythms Performance Lecture series at UTSC is generously supported by MBNA, TD Insurance, and Manulife Financial.
