Session 1: Examining Your Thinking

Investigate how your thoughts, feelings and behaviours are connected. Learn strategies to help manage negative thinking patterns.
Date: June 12, July 24

Session 2: Meditation and Mindfulness

Learn the concepts and practices of being "in the moment". Practice a few simple meditations together in the session.
Date: June 26, July 31

Session 3: Relaxation Strategies

This is a "hands on" workshop practicing various relaxation strategies.
Date: July 3


Session 4: Stress, the Body and the Brain

Explore the relationship between stress, the brain and the body. Learn strategies to promote wellness.
Date: July 10


Session 5: Why am I procrastinating?

Investigate reasons why you might be putting things off.
Date: July 17

Session 6: Managing Exam Stress and Anxiety

Practice techniques to manage your stress before, and during, exams.
Date: August 7, August 14

 

LOCATION and time for all sessions:

Health & Wellness Centre, SL-270, Wednesdays 3-4pm

These workshops can be attended by any interested student. The sessions do not need to be taken in order. For more information, please contact the Health & Wellness Centre at 416-287-7065.
