March Applicant Showcase a chance for prospective students to discover UTSC

Prospective students will get a chance to explore and experience what UTSC is all about during an upcoming showcase of the campus.

The March Applicant Showcase provides an opportunity for UTSC applicants and their families to tour the campus and get a better understanding of university-level academics.

“We know that visiting campus is one of the best things an applicant can do to aid in their decision to choose which university is right for them,” says Shelby Verboven, director of recruitment at UTSC. “So this event is a chance for applicants and their families to experience all that UTSC has to offer.”

In addition to campus tours the event will feature academic program sessions, an academic and student life fair and sample lectures from UTSC professors.

Prospective students will also get a chance to meet with current students from various academic programs as well as members of student groups and clubs. Meanwhile, information on U of T admissions, co-op programs and career options following graduation will also be available.

The tour portion includes stops at various locations including the Sakura Cherry Tree Garden, the Instructional Centre, the new Finance Lab and UTSC’s student residences for those unfamiliar with the campus. Lastly, visitors are invited to sample the many culinary delights available on campus.

The showcase, which takes place Saturday, March 23 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., is expected to bring upwards of 1,000 guests to campus.
