ACM Studio Visiting Speaker Series: Leesa Streifler

Leesa Streifler will give a free artist talk at UTSC on March 6th from 11am to 1pm in AA304

The ACM-Studio Visiting Speaker Series is pleased to present its second talk of the winter term with Leesa Streifler, an artist and professor in the Visual Arts Department at the University of Regina, Saskatchewan.

The artist talk will take place on Wednesday, March 6, 2013 from 11am to 1pm in AA 304. The talk is open to the public and everyone is welcome to attend.

About Leesa Streifler:

An artist and Professor in the Visual Arts Dept. at the University of Regina, Saskatchewan, Leesa Streifler will speak about her feminist practice: drawing, painting and photography focused on the body and resistance to normative constructions of the feminine. She will specifically address agency as it pertains to mothering, body image and aging. Streifler will also discuss her creative process, studio and teaching practices.

Leesa Streifler’s lecture is supported by Cultural Pluralism in the Arts at the University of Toronto Scarborough. The ACM
Studio Visiting Speaker Series is co-produced with the Doris McCarthy Gallery and Arts & Events Programming. For more
