History on Film: The Atomic Café

History on Film presents

Nothing brings history to life like seeing it on the big screen. Come see for yourself! The Department of Historical and Cultural Studies (HCS) and the HCS Departmental Student Association invite you to come out for a free screening of a critically acclaimed historical film, The Atomic Café, on March 6th from 5pm-7pm in SY 110.

An unsettling, hilarious, and astonishing documentary about the threat of nuclear weapons in the early Cold War. Featuring real footage such as the infamous Duck and Cover civil defense film. Produced by Jayne Loader, Kevin Rafferty, and Pierce Rafferty.

Admission is free and everyone is welcome to attend.

The History on Film series is sponsored by the Department of Historical and Cultural Studies, the HCS DSA, and the Canada Research Chair in Cultural History and Analysis.
