First Principal's Research Award Lecture & Reception

Prof. Herbert J. Kronzucker will be honored for his research at the inaugural lecture and reception for the winner of the Principal's Research Award.

The lecture will be held in IC 220 at 4 pm, followed by a reception until 7 pm in the IC Atrium.

Kronzucker is the recipient of the 2012 Principal’s Research Award. He will engage attendees in a presentation of his research highlights and accomplishments for which he has gained national recognition.

Kronzucker is a plant biologist, with expertise in plant nutrition, plant cell biology and plant ecophysiology, and his research has appeared in some of the world's most prestigious general scientific and premier plant biology journals.

In 2005, he was the recipient of a Tier 2 Canada Research Chair in Systems Biology of Plant Nutrition and Ion Transport, which was successfully renewed for a second term in 2010.
