As part of our annual Winter Blues Festival, Arts & Events Programming invites you a FREE concert and visual art experience featuring indie folk rock band Evening Hymns and Toronto-based projection artist Sean Frey.

Performing a collection of work originally commissioned by SummerWorks 2012, Evening Hymns and Sean Frey's concert will combine music and live projections and animation. A truly unique performance experience, they will take the audience on a musical and visual adventure as they explore the themes of loss, pain, and hope.

The concert will take place on Wednesday, January 30, 2013 from 7pm to 9pm in the Leigha Lee Browne Theatre. Admission is free and open to UTSC students, staff, faculty, and alumni and members of the general public. Due to limited seating, guests must RSVP online at http://www.aeplive.ca/winterblues2013.php.

Earlier in the day, from 2pm to 4pm in the Leigha Lee Browne Theatre, Sean Frey will lead a free workshop exploring light, imaging, projection, and animation. From 2pm to 3pm in SW335, Jonas Bonnetta of Evening Hymns will engage in an artist talk about making it in the music industry as an independent musician. Admission to both the workshop and artist talk are free and open to everyone.

Evening Hymns' latest CD, Spectral Dusk, was made possible due to the support of the Ontario Arts Council. The Winter Blues Festival at UTSC is generously supported by MBNA, Manulife Financial, and TD Insurance.
