The Psychology of Memory: Lecture by Professor Steve Joordens

Melanie Rocan, Letting Go, 2007-2008

Join us at the Doris McCarthy Gallery for a lecture by award-winning University of Toronto Professor Steve Joordens, speaking to the themes of memory, recollection and nostalgia found in our current exhibition, Melanie Rocan: Souvenir involontaire.

Professor Joordens is a cognitive psychologist whose primary research interests focus on the interaction between conscious and unconscious memory processes. His talk will highlight the role that certain retrieval cues can play in terms of “involuntarily” resurrecting past memories whether we like them or not!

The lecture is free and open to the public.
