Toward a Behavioral Neuroscience of Parenting

Dr. Marc Bornstein, Senior Investigator and Head of Child and Family Research at the Eunice Kennedy Shrive3r National Institute of Child Health & Human Development (NIHCHD) will discuss the probably evolutionary bases of human care giving. Behavioral and cultural study reveals some universal forms of parenting that guide us in formulating testable hypotheses about autonomic and central nervous system substrates of care giving.

The Psychology Department Colloquium even will be held in Room SW 403 at 10 am, Thursday Nov. 8.
