History on Film presents 'Jesus of Montreal'

Jesus of Montreal was directed by the famed Canadian director, Denys Arcand

With the finish line of the Winter 2012 semester in sight, the Department of Humanities' History on Film series is proud to present its final film of the season, Jésus de Montréal (Jesus of Montreal), on March 5, 2012 at 6:00PM in SY-110.

Directed by the Oscar-winning Canadian director Denys Arcand, Jesus of Montreal follows a group of actors commissioned by the Catholic Church to produce and perform an interpretive Passion Play. As they rehearse for their debut, the actors experience a meshing of their characters and their own personal and private lives as the production takes shape against growing opposition from the Catholic Church.

Admission is free and everyone is welcome to attend.
