New Frontiers Seminar Series (NFSS), Thursday December 1st, 2011

All faculty and students are invited to attend the next New Frontiers Seminar Series lecture. The speaker will be Professor Marco Gonzalez-Navarro, Department of Management, UTSC. His talk is entitled "Use of Field Experiments in Development Economics".

Abstract: Field experiments have become increasingly favored as a research tool in development economics. In this talk, Marco Gonzalez-Navarro will provide an overview of recent changes in the field and discuss some of his own research, which is applying these methods to pressing issues such as the effects of road infrastructure in poor countries, using the internet to deliver sexual health education, and health impacts of clean water access.
