Are you the parent of a child in high school?

Bring them to the Youth Career Fair at UTSC! From 11:00 am - 2:00 pm on Saturday, February 5, over 25 exhibitors will be on hand in the Meeting Place to meet students in high school seeking employment, volunteer experience or career coaching.

- Ministry of Economic Development and Trade

- OPP Recruitment

- Centreville Amusement Park

- Canadian Forces

- Urbanology Magazine

Your kids can also benefit from these fantastic workshops:

Resume Clinic

- Run by the Boys and Girls Club of East Scarborough

- This clinic will assist in the crafting, editing and critiquing of resumes for attendees of the Youth Career Fair

- 11am-2pm

Dress for Success

- Run by Newcomer Services for Youth

- Discussing employer expectations and outward appearance setting a good first impression

- 30-minute workshop

Interview Skills

- Run by the YWCA

- Discussing interview techniques and common interview questions

- 30-minute workshop

Volunteering workshop

- Run by Scarborough Storefront

- Defining volunteering as an experience-building exercise that assists in gaining future employment

- 30-minute workshop
