UTSC welcomes new Canadians at citizenship ceremony

UTSC, with co-host Citizenship and Immigration Canada, welcomes new Canadians in a special citizenship ceremony. In front of their families and friends, sixty new Canadians will be sworn in at a ceremony held in the Meeting Place on October 19 at 10 a.m. The event is part of Citizenship Week, taking place October 18 to 24.

Judge Normand Allaire will preside over the event and UTSC’s Dean of Student Affairs Mr. Desmond Pouyat and Parliamentary Assistant for Pickering Scarborough-East Scott Maxwell will address the gathering.

Congratulations go out to UTSC Alumni Association president Vinitha Gengatharan and distinguished alumna Dr. Mary Ann Chambers who will also reaffirm their citizenships.
