World X-treme Fitness Obstacle Course

World X-treme Fitness Obstacle Course

All amateur women athletes, tri-athletes, runners, gymnasts or fitness enthusiasts are invited to join the growing list of UTSC students, alumni and part-time athletics staff who are registered to compete.

Competitors will measure their speed, agility and strength against the clock over a six-element outdoor X-treme Obstacle Course.

Elements of the course include an agility run, hurdle set, web climb and balance element, low crawl, weighted shuffle and 25-metre sprint -- all repeated twice to challenge participants' endurance and determination.

Pre-competition events will be held in 3 Canadian cities: Vancouver, Halifax and Toronto during April and May of 2005. Six competitors, two from each of the three regions, will will win an all-expense paid week to Aruba, represent Canada in the International World X-treme Fitness Championship 2005, and appear on and appear on a 13-episode reality TV series.
