Summer Transition Program for New Students with Learning Disabilities

Let us help you navigate your way through your first year at U of T Scarborough.

This new 3-Day program offers a range of opportunities to new students with learning disabilities:

  • Get to know the campus environment and stay in residence for 2 nights (Free of Charge)
  • Meet other first year students and share ideas
  • Hear from an upper year student with a learning disability
  • Learn more about learning disabilities in general as well as your particular learning pattern
  • Discuss self-advocacy and the positive side to learning disabilities
  • Learn and try out a range of learning strategies, including note-taking, study skills, time management, and more!
  • Learn about and try out different types of assistive technology, including text-to-voice software and more!
  • Learn about a variety of supports available to students

For Parents:  We are also holding a concurrent session where parents can learn more about the campus and how to support their new university student!
