This event will showcase the creative approach to community building that is underway in the Kingston-Galloway/Orton Park neighbourhood.  Southeast Scarborough is home to an incredible diversity of exciting community initiatives including: a local basketball team's guerilla gardening projects, murals, and giant puppets created by local youth, an annual Pow Wow and activism for better transit service.

Mayor David Miller will kick off this special event, which will showcase a series of unusual and exciting projects and explore what makes all this vitality possible.

Be entertained as you learn about the leadership of diverse residents, the dedication of community workers, and the public investment that makes all this magic possible.
