Xpression Against Oppression (XAO), takes place February 23-26, 2009 and is the largest social justice event at UofT Scarborough.  The event features various social justice and anti-oppression events, human rights speakers and workshops. XAO showcases political, social, economic, and environmental issues that impact our local and global environment.

Organized by the Scarborough Campus Students’ Union, each day of XAO will highlight one main speaker in addition to workshops and seminars.  Overall, the four days series of 11 events will focus on issues that dominate global attention, such as: racism, social inequality, discrimination, apartheid, and terrorism.  XAO offers the UTSC community to engage in discourse and move forward in creating solutions.
