A Vision of Our Future: Visioning Workshops

The University of Toronto Scarborough (UTSC) is currently developing a strategic plan that will define our areas of priority and focus over the next five years. The strategic plan will have a clearly articulated Mission, Vision and Values statement and clear strategic directions to guide our decision-making. This we want to do in the context of a long-term vision for the campus over the next 30 years. The development of this Campus Vision is a major undertaking and a significant milestone in the University’s evolution.

The first big step in the visioning process is a series of workshops that will include participation from a wide range of stakeholders, drawn from the neighbourhood, the University, government, and other civic institutions. From these workshops, we will create a series of principles to guide the future of the campus, and the development of its 300 acre site.

It is our view that the Campus Vision will establish directions for change that support our academic goals, enhance the learning environment, enrich the student experience, raise the profile of UTSC as a whole and create a catalyst for change in the Eastern GTA.

Workshops will be held in the Council Chambers of the Arts and Administration building at the University of Toronto Scarborough, 1265 Military Trail on the following dates.:

September 22: 6:30-9:30 pm

September 24: 6:30-9:30 pm

September 25: 6:30-9:30 pm

September 29: 2:00-5:00 pm

October 2:        6:30-9:30 pm

We welcome your insight, which is critical to ensuring that we establish the best possible long-term directions for the development of the University of Toronto Scarborough.

Please let us know by September 18th whether you can attend any of the workshops by contacting Regan Tigno at (416) 287-7115 or
