Congratulations Class of 2012!

Regardless of whether it was done part-time, full-time, stopped and started or sped through, there’s nothing like the feeling of completing your undergraduate degree.

Spring Convocation this year was a daylong celebration of our newest alumni. Following each ceremony, receptions were hosted in The Great Hall at Hart House, giving grads and their families a chance to mingle with their family, friends and professors.

Check out some of the great moments captured at Convocation on the UTSC facebook page and the Life After Graduation @ U of T facebook page.

For those of you who were unable to pick up a class composite in Convocation Plaza and are looking to get your copy, please visit or contact the SCSU.  Class composites are available only to students who took a picture with Snap Studios during the 2011-2012 academic year. Eligible students may pick up one copy each.

Convocation inevitably inspires you to be at once nostalgic about your time at UTSC, and excited and nervous about the opportunities that await you. As you look ahead, and think about tackling the world of work, UTSC and the University of Toronto as a whole offer you many resources to help you make a successful transition.

For up to two years after graduation you are eligible to use the services at the Academic Advising and Career Centre. At the AA & CC you’ll find help with brushing up on your interview skills, learning about post-grad learning opportunities, accessing job postings and much more.

Can’t fight the urge to get back in the classroom? The School of Continuing Studies offers new grads one free course (maximum value of $600) to be taken within 18 months of graduation. The SCS offers over 450 university-level courses that allow you to learn a language, take general interest courses, or work toward a professional certification.  For more information call 416-978-2400 or drop by 158 St. George Street.

Congratulations, Class of 2012! Stay in touch, keep us informed of your progress and career progression and  stay connected to your largest active network -- your fellow alumni!
